Penn State Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics operates a small planetarium available for programs for K-12 classes.

We also host a number of community outreach events, including public lectures, stargazing with small telescopes, and our signature four night “AstroFest” program.

This panel discussion is the third and final event planned in coordination with the on-going “Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race” exhibition, on display until May 2 in the Robeson Gallery.

The free event will feature the three well known scholars historian Sheila Faith Weiss, bioethicist Jonathan H. Marks, and anthropological geneticist Ken Weiss. They will discuss the legacy of eugenics and Nazi medical science and health policy in a conversation moderated by historian Greg Eghigian.
