4th annual Earth Day Birthday Event
at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center
Come celebrate the CRPR 4th Annual Earth Day Birthday Event Sunday, April 18th from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center! This fun, environmental and educational celebration is free of cost, occurs rain or shine, and is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors while also gaining some new eco-friendly knowledge. Event includes arts, crafts, games, live music, displays and more! Refreshments will be available.
Attractions include: Puppets, giant rabbits, music, a presentation by Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and displays from organizations such as Penn State Adventure & Recreation, Green Irene, Clear Water Conservancy, Centre Wildlife Care, Bald Eagle State Park, Sun Direct and more!

Founded in 1994, a community-oriented, alcohol-free New Year’s Eve celebration of the visual and performing arts. It is best known for the Commonwealth of Fennsylvania’s largest ice sculptural display.
Bellefonte’s Downtown Victorian Christmas offers a taste of Christmas past, with our historic homes tour, an arts & crafts show, concerts, horse-drawn buggy rides, gingerbread house contest, railroad rides, strolling entertainment, breakfast with Santa, a Victorian tea party and musical presentations.
Annual basketball tournament held on Penn State’s University Park campus. The tournament features players ages 14-17.
This NCAA Certified event is the largest girls tournament in the country. Last year 320 teams and 226 colleges represented by over 500 college coaches attended. The USA Invitational is the finest exposure event that you can attend with 27 indoor courts within 1/4 mile of each other and a 6,000 car parking lot to accommodate you during this tournament.
Come enjoy games, crafts, pumpkin carving, food and this fascinating outdoor trail, geared toward ages 4 to 10. The unifying theme of this year’s trail is “Halloween is a seasonal celebration,” and we will highlight the cycles of nature. Your trail group will be guided by costumed characters along the lake trail through several stations of fun interactive activities. Costumed Penn State Recreation, Parks and Tourism Management students produce each trail station. These ‘characters’ receive credits and valuable experience as part of the course entitled “Natural History Interpretation, RPTM 325,” taught by Shaver’s Creek faculty.
