I currently live in sunny/snowy (depends on what time of year) State College, PA. Home of Penn State! I’m happily married with 2 beautiful children. I’m fortunate to have my studio space in Surface Artist Cooperative for my daily work. The space includes 6 other talented women which feed my inspiration.
I have been a jewelry artist since 1999. My background includes a mix of workshops and self-taught methods. My work is sold on etsy, local boutiques, galleries, stores, and juried art and craft shows. I enjoy displaying my work and meeting new people. I am always open to make custom pieces upon request.
I specialize in bridal wear. It’s my absolute favorite! Being a small part of someone’s big day is an honor and I cherish every moment.

The owner, Betsy Suhey, approaches jewelry with an artistic background merging beauty and craftsmanship. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Goldsmithing from Penn State University. She is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and a certified member of the American Gemological Society (AGS). Every year Betsy travels to the largest gem show in the world to personally select fine and unusual gemstones for use in our studio. Her knowledge and desire for only the highest quality gemstones and design has earned Aurum Jewelers and Goldsmiths a reputation for originality with impeccable craftsmanship.
Betsy has surrounded herself with an experienced GIA accredited staff including a Graduate Gemologist, two Diamond Graduates, and an in-house Goldsmith. With over one hundred years of combined experience, their commitment to quality, integrity, and value is evident.
Her staff is involved in the design and selection of jewelry for the store. They bring a unique set of talents creating a broad range of styles from traditional to avant garde.
